Successful Marketing Methods For 2008

Is not the online market í ng by definition, a lot? Not necessarily. The online firms come to realization that in an organic environment as Internet, organic marketing is demanded; the payment for traditional or static marketing accepts you only at the moment before it becomes ineffectual. The consumer controls your marketing now.
What does not go With Old Methods?
Old methods of marketing fail because the users begin to sage above (Increase Above) against old raw force by announcing which tries to persuade users by the absolute volume, by using abrasive flags of Web page, Adwords without report shown on the page, or repeated circulars (most restrained according to laws anti-spam).
Old methods do not work any more efficiently for two key reasons. They are the fact that they are a "brightness in the saucepan", by aiming users on Internet sites only as long as you continue paying for the campaign, the second reason is consumers are now at the stadium where they ignore them or go out how they block them (with the justifiable enfichable navigator or the filtering of electronic mail).
Quickly let us go through some of the "traditional" ways in the market on the web and their defects.
  • Paid Campaigns - (These only work while active) the Paid campaigns can attract people to your site, but they are regularly not your envisaged market and after fact to arrive they leave fast (High "bounce" rate).
  • Banner Ads - People hate banner ads. Most of the ads on the Internet are loathed because they aren't relevant. Seeing a banner for a better ínsurance rate when on a gaming site is a massive disconnect for the audience and a significant portion of banner ads are plain abrasive to users. Filling one third of your page with banner ads will not íncrease the likelihood anyone will care.
  • Adwords - Adwords (PPC, Pay Per Click) have the same problem as banner ads, though to a lesser extent. Adwords works by showing " sponsored results, " in the results of research motor. The results of Adword are separated from normal research results so not many persons choose them and unknown quality in the mistrust of reasons of eye of the user (how make I know that a sponsored result is better that an organic result). Competition is fierce, with prices spiraling above and returns remaining constant.
  • Newsletters - One word: Spam. Because of the spam epidemic, the users become fact to hire never more careful to accept the mail of any online source. Legislation and the ever increasing ability of spam filters mean a continually shrinking audience (Restricting the ability to send newsletters, and filtering them before they reach your audience).

Marketing "of the Old world" counted on one or two big sources of marketing to drive the circulation with big budgets and a marketing of societies. You must accept people to create news "then you pay to other people to distribute news ", therefore you draw people in your "store" to show them that you have (if they want it or not).

New Methods to Marketing
These days having others create and distribute your content for you is in vogue, it can want to tell to distribute your articles for other users to re-travel by post, by paying users to reconsider or estimate your services, by guiding users directly on forum or by having of users registers to accept exclusive information. In every case, the work of distribution is left in others.
Lets quickly run through some of the new "Web 2.0" ways to market on the web, and the reason you should try them:

  • Blogs - The Blogs are a goldmine both to the reader and to the writer. The Blogging is less time consuming and cheaper enough than the traditional marketing. The Blogs give him the aptitude to communicate his personal thoughts in events in his industry and his personal and corporate life, allowing him to join really with his auditorium. Another positive aspect is the component of marketing of mouth in mouth where they recount him for several Web places of social means, engines of search and other blogs, increasing both your credibility and searchability, making it easier for consumers to find and trust you.
  • Forums - Forums give you an insight into what people are talking about, letting you get directly into the heads of potential customers. An easy way to find an appropriate forum is by asking existing customers what forums they frequent. Join in conversations, threads, contribute to the community and become a trusted member, then you can give your professional advice and mention what you do for a living. You should approach this as a way to get insight into what people are talking about, with the side-effect of possibly generating leads. If you approach this as direct marketíng, the community will quickly tell and either ban you, or develop a healthy disdain of you.
  • Articles - The articles are a big way of showing that you are related to the questions in his industry and the widest world about you. You can present or his articles for a distribution service, or fix it in his blog; even better is a combination of the two: Choose a topic which you enjoy speaking and to write an article (as this one!) with his personal or opinion a little of profitable advice. If it is written well and educates readership, you already will have a rim in his contest.

The topic of the new methods of marketing adapts his content to the auditorium. The intention is to create something that the readership wants to read. The marketing is not on trick or it is missing of sincerity, it is on the communication of his ideas with honesty and authenticity. If it is that it is worth while to his users, then they will speak happily about the content and will extend it around. You have to communicate authentically with your customers and it simply doesn't happen using "traditional" onlíne marketing.

A word of caution: if you try any of the above methods but approach them traditionally (as a direct marketíng channel) then not only will you annoy a great number of users, you will also damage your company image. Again I stress the above point, make the content something people want to read, not just marketing material.

Old Methods of Marketing Which They Approach Now Differently

Benjamin Franklin said insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." This is increasingly true for some of the more traditional forms of onlíne marketing. It's not so much what people are doing, but more a case of how they are being done.

Let's take a look at how we should be approaching some of the old marketing methods today.

  • Press Releases - Before we start, I'm sorry to tell you, but unless you are in the 5% of the market that people pay attention to, no-one reads your press releases - at least no potential customers do. A high percentage of companies marketing on the web use traditional methods of delivery, either in print or on a section of their website. Consider changing your press release to positively present your company then send it through a syndication service for papers and online news sources to pick up and republish.
  • Search Engines - Previously you had to specifically tailor your site to search engine specifications to ensure you had a high pagerank and were located at the top of search results. To put it simply, the important factor was how your site was presented to the user. These days although page display has an impact, it is far more important to have the right content on the site. Search engines now care more about content. Structure your pages logically and efficiently with appropriate content for each page, and be sure to link to those pages wherever possible, especially if you are engaging in blog or forum marketing.
  • Mailing Lists and Newsletters - With new anti-spam laws coming into effect, coupled with users increasingly annoyed at anything email based, mailing lists and newsletters are becoming far less effective. Ensure all the users on your mailing lists and newsletters have agreed to receive them. You don't need to re-ask permission from your existing líst, but be sure to let users op-out, and put an optional op-in form link in your communications.

Old-world communication can still be effective, but you need to ensure it is not your only approach.

The Conclusion?

Reevaluation is the key to a healthy online presence. You need to be constantly measuring and reevaluating your marketing methods to ensure you are not wasting money, and can take advantage of effective new methods.

The Top 10 Dumbest Web Site Decisions

I think it will be verry usefull for more new webmasters and bloggers.

By Kalena Jordan (c) 2007

10) Misspelling a Domain

Back in the glory days of the late 1990's when I was working for a large Internet agency, the web designers had responsibility for the registration of domain names on behalf of clients. One particular designer had a face to face meeting with a major client, during which the client asked him to register CarTuneCentral.com (or so he thought!). The staffer did a check and was delighted to see the domain available. He made the purchase and proudly emailed the client.
An hour later his boss called him in to his office to say that he'd had a call from a very frustrated client who *actually* wanted him to register CartoonCentral.com. Needless to say the desired domain wasn't available and the whole office dined on his mistake for months.
9) Letting the Domain Name Expire
Now what type of company would allow their domain to expire a month after site launch? A very large one, that's who. I'll save the company some embarrassment and won't reveal their name but the site was offline for a total of 2 days while they scrambled to pay their registrar, sort out DNS propagation and cover their tails.
8) Flashing your Cyber Underpants
One of the most common web site management platforms provided by hosting companies used to store the site statistics in a common folder called /statistics/. You could password protect this folder, but the default was to leave it open to the public and so many unwary webmasters unwittingly published full traffic data for their site on the Internet, open to any person who knew where to look.
I learned this the hard way in a public forum from a member who said he had just reviewed my traffic for the previous month and was very impressed. Publishing site statistics for all the world to see is what I call flashing your cyber underpants and I haven't let it happen again!
7) Publishing Sensitive Company Information
Quite a few companies have been guilty of doing this, including AOL, who published a search data report in 2006 that contained the private details of thousands of AOL customers. Although the report was taken offline within a few days, it had already been mirrored and distributed across the Internet. The fallout eventually led to the resignation of AOL's Chief Technical Officer.
Although not quite as serious, an ex-client of mine once published a page that had notes on it from the Sales Manager about the best way to strong-arm a customer into purchasing a higher-ticket item. Apparently the web designer didn't realize the hand-written post-it notes were not part of the web page copy. Duh!
6) Using an Insulting 404 Error Page
I clash with the web design team of one of my clients on a regular basis. Earlier this year, my client completely re-designed their web site and so I recommended they ask their web design team to design a custom 404 error page in case visitors navigated to a page on the old site that no longer existed.
Their web design team put up a message that read:
"404 Error. You've obviously typed in the wrong URL. Either that or the page you are looking for no longer exists."
That was it! No apology for the missing page, no recommendatíon to use the navigation to find what they were looking for, just an insulting message that accuses the visitor of being an idiot. Persons viewing that page would be clicking the "back" button as fast as they could.
5) Taking a Site Offline for Maintenance
I find it fascinating that very large sites run by intelligent people still get taken offline for maintenance on a regular basis. Search engines don't understand the "Back in 15 minutes" sign and the longer the site is down, the bigger the risk.
If search bots try and index a site while it is down, they will most likely assume the previously indexed pages have expired and drop them from the search index. This means that all your hard-earned rankings could be flushed down the toilet until search engines can successfully re-index your site. Surely a mirror site for maintenance periods isn't that difficult to set up?
4) Buying a Dot Bíz When the Dot Com Was Available
Ok, I'm putting up my hand on this one. I'm not going to reveal the domain but yes, I registered a dot bíz domain back in 2000 when the dot com was actually available. The dot com version of my domain was bought by Yahoo a short time later and turned into a product site. Ack! My excuse is that, at the time, dot bíz sites were rumored to be the next big thing and all companies were being urged to choose them over dot coms. Ok, I was wrong!
3) Allowing a Customer Complaint to Remain on a Site for 12 Months
When I was working as a public relations consultant, I was given the responsibility of re-writing the web copy of a large real estate client. One of the areas I was asked to re-write was the welcome paragraph on the Customer Feedback page where existing customers of the estate agent chain could login and leave comments about their experience.
While writing the copy, I scanned some of the customer feedback and came across an aggressive message left 12 months earlier by an obviously unhappy customer. She had used some of the most colorful language I've ever seen (and some that I hadn't) and very detailed descriptions of how she was going to take her revenge on the company for allegedly allowing a tenant to destroy her house. Nobody in charge of the web site had even noticed the comment and I still wonder how many potential customers would have been put off from using the estate agent after reading it.
2) Switching a Web Site Off for a 3 Week Christmas Vacatíon
Yes, many moons ago, an ex-client of mine decided to take her entire web site offline (without telling me!) while she was on a 3 week vacatíon over Christmas. Only a month earlier, she had paid me $5,000 to optimize it for search engines.
It had just achieved some impressive top 10 results and all the carefully optimized pages were attracting good traffic when she shut it down and replaced the entire site with a 1 page sign that said "closed until after Christmas". I noticed the traffic and search ranking declines in her stats and was completely flabbergasted when I found the site gone. Her response when I confronted her? "Why didn't you TELL ME this could happen?"
And the dumbest web site decision I've ever witnessed?
1) Promoting a Domain Name You Don't Own:
My Alma Mater, the University of Newcastle, have spent thousands of dollars on television advertising here in Australia, marketing their new site for online post-graduate coursework: GradSchool Dot Com. There's only one problem. The domain for this site is actually Gradschool.com.au. They don't even own Gradschool.com!
Sadly, this glaring marketing error seems to have totally escaped them and they are happily referring to their brand as Gradschool.com on all their marketing material and throughout their .com.au domain. It's tragic to think of all the potential students typing in Gradschool.com expecting to find the University program. I see that whoever purchased Gradschool.com has slapped up some AdSense code on it so at least somebody will reap the benefits of those thousands of advertising dollars wasted by the University.
Don't let any of these web site tragedies happen to you. Make sure that your site decisions aren't in the hands of dummies!

Blackhat Money Trick For Your Blog (Myspace)

Start by creating profiles, you will need about 10 different accounts for this so make 10 fake hotmail accounts get them varified and then do nothing with them for 2 weeks (just so it doesnt look suspicious to the myspace police).
Ok next your going to want to write out a basic female profile, dress it up using all kinds of horrible glitter text and scrolling images so it looks like 99% of other peoples profiles on myspace, make sure you use a picture of a female from a free stock site, she needs to be attractive!
Then you need to get hold of some software called Friends Extractor, this is a basic tool that picks out a set number of profiles that have a set number of friends (i.e 100 profiles that have over 10,000 friends), now build a list of friend ID's that have over 10,000 friends, these pages get pageviews and traffic so we want them on our friend list - I would recommend you leave the program to scan over night and build up your list to a few thousand friend IDs (agian these should all have over 10,000 friends).
Next job is to get hold of Friends Blaster Pro and split your list up into 400's, so copy and paste your text file (made by Friend Extractor) with friend IDs and paste it into excel, scroll down in excel and cut it off at 400 then copy and paste that list into a blank notepad document then save it as list1.txt, you now need to get your hands on some decent protection, I recommend ghostsurf as an IP address hider.
Next load up Friendblaster Pro and visit ipchicken.com to check your IP has changed, next you want to simply load the list (list1) into Friendblaster Pro, you can do this by clicking the "import from file" button and browsing for list1.txt.
Ok so first things first, delete tom from your friends , next load in the list and then click friends requester tab and hit send, the program will now send out pending requests but you may need to type in some captchas so watch the program cycle through and be ready to type.
Now do this for the other 9 accounts (doesnt have to be on the same day) so by the end you should have 10 accounts with some friends on them but your friends should have 10,000 friends or more, now we want to send out general comments to all friends over our 10 accounts (agian this doesnt have to be on the same day), just send a general comment like "thanks for the add".
Next comes the clever part, a transparent gif.......
Okay so now that you have got your "regular, innocent" profile accepted you simply do the switch and add a little blackhat to the mix, you need to create a transparent gif in photoshop that is large enough to sit over the top of your ENTIRE profile, this means that whenever someone clicks anywhere on your profile they are clicking a div layer with a transparent gif and as we all know, image can be linked to websites!
Next you want to get an account with blogger and start a brand new blog up, this is where we are going to send our traffic, for this you need a CPM advertiser, I recommend the news room or perhaps a pop up advertiser (not sure if blogger allows that code), the great thing about the news room is that it pays $1 per impression of its news widget, basically you can just fill the page with these widgets to jack up the amount you make per page view.
Next you want to link your gif image to your blogger page, so now everytime someone clicks anywhere on your profile you are sending the traffic to your blogger page which has CPM adverts on it, you make money whenever someone visits your myspace page, to make it even more stealth I recommend you place some CSS code to change the cursor from the hand icon to a regular mouse pointer hehe.
From our previous comments (which will be accepted because our profile wasnt spammy then and we were just a regular hot babe ;-)) we should be getting some page views to each profile which means we should be making money :-).

Get indexed on Google within 24 hours and Get Paid to Do It!

Tutorial from the Guru SEO forum. I thought this might help some of you.
Ok, so you've just created your new blog, mini-site or other fancy presence on the web. You've got your adsense in place, your first few articles written and you are ready to be indexed on Google so you can start building traffic and hopefully make a little money. Well, personally I don't like to wait that long to start monetizing my website. So I devised a little plan that gets my site indexed within 24 hours, every time, and starts making me money immediately.

Here is my short to do list to make it happen: For this example let's say I have registered SkinCareBible.com obviously for the niche of skin care. (Not a site or niche I use - just a random example)

The first thing to do is set up an email box called: contributors @ skincarebible.com (or whatever the actual domain is)

The second thing to do is find an affiliate product that has something to do with the niche of my new site. It can be a Clickbank product or an affiliate program of any kind just as long as it is good and relevant to my niche.

Once I have found a relevant product I set my affiliate link as the signature for all emails coming from my new domain. The signature says something like: Have you seen the latest breakthrough in "Niche Name Here"? (Note: I usually cloak the signature link with a simple redirect page)

The third thing to do is a quick search on ebay or google for some info or something about my niche with master resale rights. Most of the time I can find it on ebay for less than a dollar. (Just search your niche along with the word "resale")

The fourth thing to do is set up the resale product or products with paypal. I set the price at $7 or under. (I like to use ejunkie to host my files for sell but it isn't absolutely necessary)

The fifth thing to do is set up an auto-responder for the email address that I created in step one.
The text reads something like this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Thank you for your interest in becoming a contributor to SkinCareBible.com (or whatever). We will review your submission and contact you if we feel that a working relationship can be established. Our current contributors find the resource below very useful. As a potential contributor you may get your copy of this $89 resource for only $7. Title of Product Goes Here (link to the reseller products I set up through paypal). We hope to be in touch soon. - SCB Staff "
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Sixth thing to do is to go to craigslist.org and choose the largest city that will have an interest in your niche.
Post an ad under "creative gigs" that looks something like this:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Title: Can you write articles about skin care? SkinCareBible.com (<- make sure that is an active link. Very important!) is looking for aspiring writers with an interest in skin care and beauty. Everyone is welcome to apply. Please submit a short sample of your writing on any related subject (200-400 words) to contributors @ skincarebible.com
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here's what happens:
  1. That live link on craigslist.org will get you indexed on Google within 24 hours every time.
  2. Lot's of targeted people will click on the link to see what your site is and some always end up clicking on adsense ads.
  3. Your auto-responder will fire off immediately to anyone who responds to the ad and offer them the "discounted" info as well as show your affiliate loaded signature. (again to highly targeted people)
  4. If anyone actually sends you good content (most will suck) you just scored a great writer for your site. Work out a deal accordingly.
Don't try to keep bumping the ad to the top. Leave the ad live until it naturally expires. If it made you any money, (always does), then run it again.

You were going to try to get indexed anyhow and this way is is a hell of alot more productive.

Top 5 Ways To Generate Low Cost Website Traffic

There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site; it also takes money to make money.

BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to generate website traffic for your site.

Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.

You don’t have to do this if you don’t really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.

Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.

Exchange Links
This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.

Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange
This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles
There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.
This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums
This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people.

Top 5 Most Common Mistakes With Do-It-Yourself SEO

I look at a lot of sites on a daily basis. There are a lot of common problems I see on sites. Some people may have tags set-up improperly or use tags that have no real purpose. I have compiled a list of the 5 top do-it-yourself SEO errors. It's safe to say that many do-it-yourselfers may have at least one of these errors on their sites. These should help you omit these often costly mistakes and pull you up in the ranks.
1) Keyword tag – A keyword tag is for keywords, but not for any keywords. You can’t just stuff this tag with keywords that your entire site is related to. The tags should reflect keywords only on that particular page; not the entire site and not every keyword you think your site might be searched on. Also, you should have no more then 20 words in the tag. You should not repeat any word more than 3 times. If you sell tickets, for example, don't write: Broadway tickets, circus tickets, hockey tickets, boxing tickets and so on. Do use Broadway, circus, hockey, boxing, tickets and so on.
2) Abstract tag – It is sometimes used as a replacement for or combined with a description tag. However, more and more people are using these to stuff keywords. Search engines like Google are interested in what is on the page. More specifically, what visitors can view. In my opinion, the abstract tag has no place on a site.
3) Description Tag – The whole point behind this tag is to describe what the “page” is about. Keywords related to the page should be implemented as well. The limit on words should be 20 – 25. I see many website owners stuffing this tag with keywords, or having a description that is entirely too lengthy. Stay within these guidelines and you will be fine.
4) Title tag – This, to me, is the most important tag. This is the first tag the search engine reads. It tells the search engine what the” page” is about. Don't put your web address here. Do not add your company name in the beginning of this tag either. It should not exceed 60 characters.
5) Content- If you notice, I have been commenting on relevancy to the “page”, not your overall site. Each page has it’s own keywords. Tag the title tag, description and keyword tags. All of these keywords should be the same. Add them to your content as well. Now your page should be fairly well optimized.
Why do sites fall short? Simple, content is not optimized. Search engines are, for the most part, pretty basic. You type in a search term and it retrieves sites containing those terms while also taking a few other factors into account. So, if your site doesn’t have these terms, how will you be found? You won’t. Over do it with keywords and you will experience the same result, but for different reasons. Sometimes reading everything about SEO can be bad. Trying too many tricks, tips or methods is like too many cooks spoiling the soup. In the end they can do more bad than good. These are very basic rules that should be followed by all. In, doubt? Always consult or hire an SEO professional.

Easy Profits Using PPC In Your Affiliate Marketing Business

PPC is one of the four basic types of Search Engines. PPC is also one of the most cost-effective ways of targeted internet advertising. According to Forbes magazine, PPC or Pay Per Click, accounts to 2 billion dollars a year and is expected to increase to around 8 billion dollars by the year 2008.
Let us take a quick look at how PPC Search Engines work.
These engines create listings and rate them based on a bid amount the website owner is willing to pay for each click from that search engine. Advertisers bid against each other to receive higher ranking for a specific keyword or phrase.
The highest bidder for a certain keyword or phrase will then have the site ranked as number 1 in the PPC Search Engines followed by the second and third highest bidder, up to the last number that have placed a bid on the same keyword or phrase. Your ads then will appear prominently on the results pages based on the dollar amount bid you will agree to pay per click.
How do you make money by using PPC into your affiliate marketing business?
Most affiliate programs only pay when a sale is made or a lead delivered after a visitor has clickthrough your site. Your earnings will not always be the same as they will be dependent on the web site content and the traffic market.
The reason why you should incorporate PPC into your affiliate marketing program is that earnings are easier to make than in any other kind of affiliate program not using PPC. This way, you will be making profit based from the clickthroughs that your visitor will make on the advertiser’s site. Unlike some programs, you are not paid per sale or action.
PPC can be very resourceful of your website. With PPC Search Engines incorporated into your affiliate program, you will be able to profit from the visitor’s who are not interested in your products or services. The same ones who leave your site and never comes back.
You will not only get commissions not only from those who are just searching the web and finding the products and services that they wanted but you will be able to build your site’s recognition as a valuable resource. The visitors who have found what they needed from you site are likely to come back and review what you are offering more closely. Then they will eventually come back to search the web for other products.
This kind of affiliate program is also an easy way for you to generate some more additional revenues. For example, when a visitor on your site does a search in the PPC Search Engine and clicks on the advertiser bided listings, the advertisers’ account will then be deducted because of that click. With this, you will be compensated 30% to 80% of the advertisers’ bid amount.
PPC is not only a source of generating easy profits; it can also help you promote your own site. Most of the programs allow the commissions received to be spent for advertising with them instantly and with no minimum earning requirement. This is one of the more effective ways to exchange your raw visitors for targeted surfers who has more tendencies to purchase your products and services.
What will happen if you when you integrate PPC into your affiliate program?
PPC usually have ready-to-use affiliate tools that can be easily integrated into your website. The most common tools are search boxes, banners, text links and some 404-error pages. Most search engines utilize custom solutions and can provide you with a white-label affiliate program. This enables you, using only a few lines of code, to integrate remotely-hosted co-branded search engine into your website.
The key benefits? Not only more money generated but also some extra money on the side. Plus a lifetime commissions once you have referred some webmaster friends to the engine.
Think about it. Where can you get all these benefits while already generating some income for your site? Knowing some of the more useful tools you can use for your affiliate program is not a waste of time. They are rather a means of earning within an earning.
Best know more about how you can use PPC search engines into your affiliate program than miss out on a great opportunity to earn more profits.

Why Do I Need Google Adsense?

Because it’s there, it’s fun and it’s free. If you’re reading this, you obviously have some interest in the internet. You don’t even have to have your own site, although the more sites you use Google Adsense on, the more money you will make. For example, anyone can write a blog even if it’s just your own opinion on something.
You can also make money referring other people to Google Adsense. By placing a referral button on your site you increase your earnings potential. When a publisher that you referred makes their initial $100.00 within 90 days of sign-up and is eligible for payout, your account will also be credited $100.00. Additionally, they must never have registered for a Google Adsense account before.
Don’t be intimidated by the html code. It’s already formatted. All you have to do is choose the language and kind of button you would like, and copy and paste the html code to your site. Look for the referral code and more information under Adsense support.

Good Idea For Generate And Convert Targeted Traffic.

I've been meaning to put this together for a while, but I've been staying fairly busy. Well, with all the posts and questions I've seen lately in the STS, Aff. Marketing, and Newbie thread about zip/email submits, it's pretty obvious to me that it's high time that I put this out. Take note: this is not a definitive guide to EVERYTHING zip/email, but it is a method that I've used to generate a lot of zip/email leads. I'm not going to hide anything from you either - I'll give you the exact campaign that I ran that converted at over 300%.

Step 1: Pick a popular news topic (something big that will get a lot of searches is good)

Step 2: Scrape keywords from several of the top news stories online. When I've done this, I've actually grabbed quite a few news article titles as keywords.

Step 3: Setup a quick one page (multi page if you want to put up privacy/copyright/about pages) site. The key here is QUICK. Don't go complex. THis is easy. This website is truly a case of KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid). You should put this together in no more than 30 minutes. Use the keywords you scraped from the news article and run a poll based around the news topic. Try to make it a very easy yes/no question so that you don't confuse your audience and drive them away. Have the poll setup around 2 buttons (Yes or No, Now or Never, etc). Have both the buttons take the user to your zip/email submit.

Step 4: Setup an ad campaign in one of the search engines for this topic. Use your scraped keywords and set your bids as low as you can go. (I did $0.05 in Adcenter and Adwords and $0.10 in Yahoo). Point the ad to your poll landing page.

Step 5: Grab the most relavent zip/email you can to the demographic that you think will be most likely to be searching for this news article.

Step 6: Profit.

Ok, this may seem oversimplified, but it can really be that easy. To give you an example I'll be posting the exact campaign I used to do this.

Now for the actual example and the numbers. How did I come up with this idea? Well, I just quit my job about 2 months ago. While I still had this job, I was driving to work and listening to the radio. I live in Atlanta, and on that day the news broke that Michael Vick was being indicted on dogfighting charges. No matter what station I listened to it was on. AM or FM, people everywhere were talking about it. All I could think was, TONS of people will be searching for info on this online - HOW CAN I CAPITALIZE? It hit me that I could setup a website that could ask people whether or not they thought Michael Vick was actually guilty of the charges. So that day at work I set about setting up this site:

Mike Vick Survey - Michael Vick is the Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Dogfighting and Indicted for Running Dog Fights

I set it up in about 30 minutes. I scraped the content from a few news articles and filled out the meta with my keywords. I simply grabbed the keywords from large news articles online that were breaking the news that morning.

Imagine my joy when I saw that NO ONE else was bidding on ANY of those keywords. (I got lucky). My campaign was live by 11:00 AM. I set up the following ad copy in Adwords:

Is Michael Vick Guilty?
You decide. Vote to get a $500 gift card.

By 3:00 PM I had the ads setup in Yahoo and MSN as well (remember, I did all this while at WORK). I chose the Foot Locker Email submit offered by Copeac. It paid out at $1.50/lead. I later changed to a $500 Visa gift card zip submit that paid the same and changed my copy to say:

Is Michael Vick Guilty?
Vote now and receive afree $500 Visa Gift Card

I found that the zip submit converted at a higher rate than email submits (this may vary depending on your niche/traffic). I chose the first offer to target the male sport audience that I expected to be searching this topic. It worked very well. The only thing was I wanted to try a zip submit and they didn't have a similar one. I even tried the iPhone email submit with the following copy:

Is Michael Vick Guilty?
You decide.
Vote now and get a free iphone

It didn't do poorly, but the others did even better. With the $500 Visa Gift card I began to convert about 20% of my traffic with bids of 5-10 cents. That means for every 5 people, one would convert. I'd pay 25-50 cents for those 5 visitors, but got paid out at $1.50. So, what's the end of the story? Well, I have to give props to PETA. They got a campaign going on quite a few of my keywords within 2 days in Google. They were the only advertiser competing with me for about 3 weeks though. After that, competition in Google increased for these keyterms as newspapers and magazines started covering the Michael Vick issue more and more. I shut down the campaign in google as the keywords went inactive for search and needed bid of $1+ to get active (obviously that woudn't work). I kept Yahoo and MSN going up until about 2 weeks ago. At that point the offers started converting kind of poorly, and I shut them down. Here's my stats on the Visa Gift card zip from Copeac:

Visa Gift Card for Best Buy - $500 ^ Zip Submit 2,450 0 337 0 0% 0% 0 $0.00 N/A $1.50/lead $505.50

I know the conversions here show about 13%, but it was closer to 35% when the campaign started. It evened out at about 25% before the conversions went to hell. This just goes to show, when you are paying for traffic you need to keep an eye on campaigns and kill them if they go negative (which this did after a litle over a month and a half). I could have switched out offers and tried some other one to see if it would work, but I was bored with this and had higher paying offers to spend my time/money on. I've tried this method several times, but this was one campaign that it really worked on for quite a while (I assume most of these will die out closer to 1-3 weeks). If you have half a brain you can follow my process though and figure out how to make it work for you.

Will you get rich off this? Probably not. Maybe... it depends on how many niches you hit. There are several things I can think of that could increase conversions even more. You could spend more time on your landing pages and match the color/look/feel to the zip/email submit that you are promoting so that it looks like the visitor never left your site. You could tweak your ad copy, add more keywords, add more ppc engines, etc. You could also forego PPC and try using blackhat to get your page to the top results in the engines for your keywords and try getting some organic traffic like that. All in all though, this campaign took less than 4 hours of real work to setup, and gave me a 300% conversion rate for over a month. You can start with a small budget (as low as $5/day, but for best results be ready to set a budget of like $50/day to maximize on traffic - which will be highest right after the story breaks).

Any Idiot Can Make millions off Google.

PPC, which stands for Pay Per Click is making a lot of people very very rich. The surprising thing is that very few of the top earners have much in the way of a computer background. I have taught a lot of people how do PPC and the ones that have the most success are the ones with the most patience and drive.

Here is how it works, when you do a search on google the right hand side contains paid listings. If you search for the term "online dating" all the ads you see on the right hand side are from people bidding on the term online dating.

How do these people make money? Well there are many affiliate networks out there that will pay you to promote products and services. My favorite networks are ones that pay per action, ie someone just has to give their email address or phone number. This lead pays out $5.60 for anyone that fills out the form. This Cell phone offer get paid $4.00 for every person that enters their cell phone number.

Here is a sample of a google Ad which you place by signing up here www.google.com/adwords, you pick a list of search terms you want this ad to display for and the max price you want to bid. You then direct traffic to a link provided by an affiliate network.

Googe Ad

Sample Affiliate Network listings of offers you can promote

Sample Pay Per Lead Affiliate network COPEAC.

The max you can make by yourself doing PPC ads is around $100,000/month this is the point where you replace ads as fast as you can create them. There are many hot offers like ring tones that only work for 6 months or so before they are replaced. Also competition may drive up prices and its no longer profitable for you to bid on those terms.

If you have your own website affiliate networks are great. If don't have many users (under 30,000 uniques/day) and they are all focused on your subject area a good rule of thumb is you can make $2.00 off affiliate ads for every dollar you make off adsense.

Looking for inspiration? Many of the sites that show up in the non paid listings in google for travel, credit card and drug are making over $10,000 a day.

You Have Small or Young Site/Blog. Make Money with Google AdSense Right Now.

One of the most well-known and popular advertising networks on the internet, Google’s AdSense offers its users a way to monetize their sites through both ad links and the Google search feature. Its main draw is that the advertisements it offers are targeted to fit the content of the page on which they appear and the search terms that are entered into the search field.

This means that the advertisements it displays are more relevant to the content of the site on which they are posted, and therefore more likely to be clicked by visitors to that site. This is a major innovation in advertising and still fairly uncommon among ad networks, and has proven much more effective at earning money for site owners than untargeted advertisements.

In addition, AdSense provides a variety of ways to customize both the ads’ appearance and the way in which their value is reported, making it a very comprehensive and straightforward provider of relevant advertisements.

Features
AdSense works by instantaneously auctioning off the available advertising spaces on a site to various advertising companies.

The default form of advertisement available from AdSense is CPC, but CPM may also appear on sites if the ad agency chooses the site and wins the auction, but these types of ads cannot be specifically requested by an AdSense user.

The advertisements are targeted by language and geographical location as well as content, and include both large and small businesses in a wide array of categories.

Google chooses not to officially disclose the percentage of profit it takes from what the advertisers pay for its services and ad space. The New York Times, however, calculated from Google’s published financial reports that AdSense partners receive 78.5% of the profits that Google makes off of their ad space.

Controls
AdSense accounts are managed by logging into www.google.com/adsense. From this page, users can customize their accounts in a variety of ways. Firstly, they may control whether to enable ad links, the Google search feature, or both. If advertising links are enabled, the site owner may choose whether to show only text ads, or to also allow image and video ads.

AdSense also offers link units and referral buttons, which can be enabled or disabled. Furthermore, the appearance of the enabled ads can be customized from this page. Users may choose the color and template of their ad links and search results so that they are more integrated into the site’s overall appearance and therefore will likely be clicked more frequently.

Another way in which AdSense users can customize the ads that appear on their page is by applying and adjusting several filters, which can be used to filter out competitors’ advertisements, as well as ensuring that content on the site is relevant and appropriate. If users do not feel that many of the ads selected by AdSense are useful, they can also set their own default advertisements or fill the space with a solid color until better ads are available.

Available Types and Formats
Currently, AdSense offers text only, image, video ads, link units, and referral buttons in a variety of shapes and sizes. Note that some ad sizes only support text or images:

Text, Image, and Video Ads:
  • 728 x 90 Leaderboard
  • 468 x 60 Banner
  • 234 x 60 Banner
  • 160 x 600 Wide Skyscraper
  • 120 x 600 Skyscraper
  • 120 x 240 Vertical Banner
  • 336 x 280 Large Rectangle
  • 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle
  • 180 x 150 Small Rectangle
  • 250 x 250 Square
  • 200 x 200 Small Square
  • 125 x 125 Button

Link Units:

  • 728 x 15
  • 468 x 15
  • 200 x 90
  • 180 x 90
  • 160 x 90
  • 120 x 90

Reporting
The final function of the control panel is to report the users’ earnings through their ads. AdSense offers several ways to customize these reports. Updated hourly, reports on earnings can be sorted by page, date, ad type, and a number of other factors.

Users can create both URL and customized channels in the advanced reporting tab of the control panel. With URL channels, site owners can create clusters of URLs to see which pages or clusters of pages are earning them the most money through advertisements.

Customizable channels allow users to create their own groups of links, allowing them to test, for example, whether their red banner ads or their blue side links generate more clicks so that they can alter the layout of their site accordingly.

How to Get Started
To become an AdSense publisher, prospective users must complete a short online application on their website.

After 2-3 days, AdSense will process the application and reach a decision on whether to support the site or sites, as AdSense will support multiple sites for only one user. After they accept, users simply need to log on, select which type of ads they wish to display, and customize their options.

When this is completed, AdSense will generate an html code that site owners can simply paste into their page like any other code. This will allow the advertisements to show in this space. For the first day or two, only public service ads may appear, for which the site owner will not be paid. These can, however, be replaced by the site owner by default ads or a solid color. After Google’s bots have inventoried the site, however, content specific links should begin to show and site owners will be paid for the clicks these links receive.

Continued service from the AdSense network is contingent upon users obeying their terms and conditions, which include not clicking their own ad links, not bribing others to click the links or pointing them out in any way, and not displaying pornography or anything illegal on their site. It is acceptable, however, to have non-Google ads on the site as long as it is clear that they are unrelated to the Google ads.

Payment
Receiving payments from this network is fairly simple. AdSense offers both EFT and mailed checks in the user’s specified local currency. When a site owner’s ad revenue reaches $100 or greater, a payment will be issued to that owner within 30 days of the end of that month. If revenues do not reach $100, the account balance is rolled over to the next month and does not expire.

Referral Program
Google's AdSense does have a referral program. Unfortunately, due to its immense popularity, it is difficult finding prospective publishers who have not already signed up.

When a referral earns $5 within 180 days of sign-up, the referring publisher will be credited with $5.

When that same referral earns $100 within 180 days of sign-up and is eligible for payout, the referring publisher will be credited with an additional $250.

If in any 180-day period, 25 publishers are referred who each earn more than $100 within 180 days of their respective sign-ups and are all eligible for payout, the referring publisher will be awarded a $2,000 bonus (bonus payouts are limited to 1 per year).

More Information and Support
Google is very thorough in supplying information about AdSense, and information regarding a vast range of issues and possible problems is available at AdSense’s main website, along with demos and guides designed to walk new users through most of AdSense’s functions. News, updates, and tips are also available at www.adsense.blogspot.com. Finally, the support staff at AdSense is reachable by email and usually responds politely and intelligently within 1-2 days of receiving an inquiry.

Summary
AdSense is a very user friendly ad network that is simple to set up and run for even new site owners. Its targeted advertising makes it more likely that the posted advertisements will appeal to site viewers, and the Google search feature allows site owners to keep viewers on their site longer and also lets them receive revenue for clicked searches.

Reports are customizable so that Adsense users can view and maximize their profits, and receiving payments from AdSense is simple for most people with a major bank account.

Overall, AdSense seems to be a very simple and flexible advertising network.

You Have Some Traffic? Earn More Money with Auction Ads.

One of the most popular newly emerging advertising networks is AuctionAds: a specific ad network that deals with displaying advertisements of live eBay auctions. For those who are not familiar with eBay, it is an online auction marketplace that features a large variety of items.

AuctionAds works quite easily. The publisher enters their advertisement keywords to suit the topic of the page on which the advertisements will be displayed. When this is done, the advertisements can be edited to suit the layout and design of the page with a feature that adjusts size and colour.

Both images of the items as well as the current bid on the items are shown and the advertisements displayed by AuctionAds generally perform well due to their attractive layouts. Despite their advertisements being similar to those of a PPC network, AuctionAds pays publishers only when a user clicks the link and performs an action on eBay - such as bidding on the item advertised. When this happens, you receive a decent commission which varies by the cost of the item.

Currently AuctionAds has 20,000 unique publishers with a reported 200 more joining each day, making them one of the largest auction affiliate programs available.

Features
AuctionAds works by providing the advertisements based on the keywords the publisher has entered. The advertisement is generated instantly and the code is provided for the publisher to place on their webpage.

The advertisements AuctionAds serves are image and text-based advertisements with a border surrounding the advertisement. The size of the advertisement you would like to display is chosen by you. The colours of the fonts and backgrounds are also chosen by you to suit your site's layout.

Publishers receive a decent commission for each auction bid they refer through a user clicking on the advertisement. This commission percentage varies by the bid amount. This method of advertising can be much better for specific publishers than CPC or CPM advertisements.

Controls
AuctionAds has extremely easy controls to navigate. Users log-in by entering their email address and the password with which they signed up. Upon logging-in, a user is automatically taken to the Campaign Manager part of the control panel. Here, users can add or delete campaigns they want to create.

Next to the Campaign Manager function of the menu, you will find the Get Code button. This enables publishers to retrieve the ad code of the advertisements they wish to display. In this menu users can choose a campaign they have created, the ad color and the color settings of the text. There is a special module which enables you to select one of your campaigns and enter a desired eBay live auction URL which you can promote as an advertisement. There are also typical functions such as View Detailed Reports and Change Profile settings.

Available Types and Formats
AuctionAds supports most common banner sizes, and their banners are displayed with a small image and text listing the auction details. The available ad sizes are:

Recently AuctionAds has improved their Ad Code Wizard, allowing for more ad creative options and color blending.

Reporting
One of the main features provided in the AuctionAds Menu is the Reporting feature. Currently, the reporting system AuctionAds uses details the impressions and clicks attracted by a chosen campaign for the date selected. Also featured in the reporting is the Click-through Rate with the Revenue. The revenue is the commissions you have received for referred bids on the auction's advertisement displayed during the selected period. The Click-through rate is the percentage ratio of clicks to ad impressions, while the reporting lists the date chosen with the name of the campaign.

A neat feature in the reporting is the graph with impressions and revenue graphed on it. It allows publishers to analyze trends in their earnings to see when they were earning most and which campaigns are performing the best.

How to Get Started
Getting started with AuctionAds is extremely easy. Just visit the link to their website at the top or bottom of this review and then click the Sign Up link at the top of their website. There you will have to provide some basic information (payment and contact information) and your account will be activated immediately after clicking the link you receive in your email.

Once registered and your account is confirmed, you simply log-in and press the campaigns link and create a campaign to display advertisements. After you have created the campaign, visit the Get Code link. Then select the campaign you have just created and generate an Ad Code changing the settings to suit your website layout.

Once everything is done, click Create. Then copy the generated code and place it in your website. Wait and start earning!

AuctionAds is also giving $25 free to new publishers who sign up through us.

Payment
Currently, AuctionAds is still a fairly new ad network and are giving publishers 100% of their revenues to encourage publishers to use their network. Payments are currently done via Paypal and are issued at the beginning of each month for the previous month's earnings. The minimum payment for withdrawal is $50.

Referral System
AuctionAds has a decent referral program with good earning potential. They offer publishers 5% of all revenue generated by a referred user for six months after that user signs up. This is very useful since they have publishers’ referral codes included in the "Ads by AuctionAds" part of the advertisement that shows up on publishers’ pages.

However, most ad network referral programs pay out 5% for an entire year, so AuctionAds could still improve on this. In addition, there is currently no separate reporting for referrals available, leaving publishers completely in the dark as to how much their referrals are earning for them.

More Information and Support
AuctionAds’ client support is responsive and efficient. They have a link to a contact form which publishers can use for help. AuctionAds usually replies to inquiries within 1-2 business days with a helpful support team.

Their website features pretty much all the information that could be desirable for a publisher while the contact form is always available for other questions.

Summary
AuctionAds is a CPA or cost-per-action Ad Network that pays its publishers when a user clicks an Advertisement and bids on the Auction to which the advertisement is linked.

Since AuctionAds is a CPA ad network, it is not suitable for all web publishers.

Unfortunately, most publishers have reported very low earnings and poor results from AuctionAds, with referrals bringing in even less.

However, AuctionAds is still new and working on hard on their network, and thus is still an ad network worth looking into.

Make Money Online with Affiliate Programs Part 2 (Getting Started Guide)

Affiliates make money by referring customers to their merchants. There are many companies and webmasters offer affiliate programs to promote their online sales. When you sign up for an affiliate program, you will be given an affiliate link with an unique affiliate ID which will be used to market the product. When someone makes a purchase through your affiliate link, you make money (earn affiliate commission). Below are the steps to starting an affiliate marketing business:

Step 1 - Join an Affiliate Program
Clickbank.com is one of the best places to find an affiliate program that interests you as there are a ton of sellers looking for people to promote their e-books and info products. Before you join any affiliate programs, do a little research. Find out which products are most popular, the conversion rate of the products and visit the sellers’ websites to see whether their sales letters are convinced enough to generate sales. A conversion rate of 5% is reasonably good. This means that for every 100 visitors to the website, 5 visitors will buy.

Step 2 – Promote an affiliate program through a website
You need to have a website to promote your affiliate programs. Creating a website isn’t difficult nowadays. You can use an easy website builder to create a website with little or no technical knowledge. To learn more about how to set up a site with website builder, you can go to Google and enter the search term 'website builder' to find a site builder that is right for you.

Step 3 – Decide the Content on Your Website
As you are promoting e-books, you can write a review on each e-book with an affiliate link to the sales website of each e-book. If you do not wish to write reviews, you can create a product recommendation list on your website (e.g., ‘Top 5 SEO e-books,’ ‘Top 3 MP3 music download,’ etc.).

Step 4 – Drive Targeted traffic/visitors to Your Website
To earn affiliate commission you need to drive targeted traffic to your website. The more traffic your website gets, the more likely you’ll generate more sales. There are several ways to drive targeted traffic to your site in short period of time (2 to 5 days). Here’s how……

Pay-per-click (PPC) Advertising
You can get a lot of targeted traffic using PPC advertising. The two most popular and effective PPC advertising programs are Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing. So how PPC advertising program works? PPC advertising programs allow you to bid for top rankings on the keywords of your choice. When someone enters a search term matches your keyword in the PPC search engine and press the search button, your contextual ad will appear on the sidebar of the search result page. If the visitor clicks through your ad to your website, you’ll be charged base on your bid amount. To learn more about PPC advertising, please click here.

Article Marketing
Writing an article related to your affiliate products with a link to your website in the article’s resource box and submitting it to many article directories can bring some free targeted traffic to your site. To get more and continuous targeted traffic, you need to write more articles. Try to publish a new article every week. Doing this for a year can drive truckload of free traffic to your website.

Post Messages on Forums
Another way to get free traffic is by posting messages on community forums with a link to your site on the signature of each message posted by you. Here’s a technique I learned from an affiliate marketer.

1) Run a search on Google to find out forums and message boards that are related to your affiliate products and try to join as many forums as you can.

2) Make sure that each one of your forums profile is edited to include your website link within the signature option.

3) Spend a few hours navigating the pages of the forums. You can ask questions and post informative and helpful replies to other peoples’ questions or messages to build your status. The more people trust you, the more likely they will click your link.
